We have been busy organising a Facebook livestream about cervical cytology to coincide with the Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust Cervical Cancer Awareness Week. We are going to crosspost the livestream to a number of practices in the Lancashire and South Cumbria region. This is a big event and it was a good opportunity to work toward an improved picture quality. We have so far been reluctant to do this as the increase in picture quality does increase your computers processing requirements. We found during testing that the laptop we have used so far was hitting 100% CPU usage and dropping video frames. Fortunately we found a way of overcoming this which you can read about in this update
We livesteamed a short introduction to our main event on the 22nd of January and we are really pleased with the results. We used the boundary microphone again and we are finding this a great piece of kit for our livestreams.
